Welcome to Kettins Primary School

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our school website. Some of you are already familiar with our school, others we welcome for the first time. We hope both new and old visitors alike will find this a useful resource to discover more about our lovely little school.

Kettins Primary School is a small, rural school situated in the picturesque village of Kettins, surrounded by fields and an abundance of wildlife. The village has historical links with the Hallyburton Estate and was declared a ‘conservation area’ in the 1970s. We are located a half mile off the A923 (Dundee to Coupar Angus Road), 2 miles from Coupar Angus, 14 miles from Perth and 13 miles from Dundee. Our school roll is currently 27 pupils ranging from P1 to P7 in 2 classes.

The aim of Kettins Primary School is to provide the best education possible for all our pupils. We are very proud of our school and the warm, positive ethos it provides. Learning is at the heart of everything we do. We understand the importance of creating an environment which is secure, trusting, productive and happy where our pupils can achieve their potential through learning experiences that are enjoyable and purposeful, and which take account of an individual’s needs and interests. At Kettins, we aim to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, which enhances the all-round development of our pupils. We also recognise the importance of developing the qualities and skills necessary for children to cope and indeed thrive in an ever-changing world.
